Our offices and our ways of working have an impact on the environment and by constantly monitoring, evaluating and managing our impact we build on our successes.
Our efforts concentrate on encouraging responsibility around waste and water use, ensuring a responsible travel policy and working with our energy suppliers on carbon management.
We commission regular carbon studies to measure our footprint, with the last report showing a reduction of carbon emissions of over 10% in the last four years. We have also switched to 100% electricity from renewable sources for all of our UK offices and recycling is in place in all our locations.
The move of our London HQ to Cannon Place has been a great opportunity to demonstrate CMS’ commitment to the environment. For example, 15.34 tonnes of metal was collected and recycled, and 1,400 Keep Cups were introduced to eliminate 5,600 disposable cups used annually.
The firm has been part of the Corporation of London’s Clean City Awards Scheme for the past few years, and has seen its continual improvement and commitment to the environment rewarded on many occasions. CMS won the Bronze Award at the Mayor of London Business Energy Challenge 2015, and for the fourth consecutive year achieved a Platinum Award at The City Mayor of London’s Clean City Award 2015.
We are working to expand our green initiatives to all of our offices.
