As we're sure you're aware, in its recently published Business Plan for 2017/18, the FCA highlighted that its General Insurance sector focus will be on ensuring the wholesale insurance market is working well, and fosters innovation and competition in the interests of a diverse range of consumers. In addition, the FCA highlighted a shift of some of its focus from issues affecting SME consumers to wider market structures, incentives and distribution.

Our breakfast seminar will consider:

  • How this focus will feed into likely FCA enforcement trends and the impact for your business.
  • In particular we will discuss recent competition enforcement by the FCA:
  • Dawn raids have taken place and Competition Act investigations are on-going, including in the insurance sector and our experts will talk through how the FCA is investigating and what to expect; and
  • The FCA's Business Plan has highlighted a wholesale insurance market review, which we will talk about and how firms can prepare themselves for the process, drawing on our experience in various similar processes undertaken by the FCA.
