CMS is a Times Top 50 Employer for Women 2019

24 April 2019

International law firm CMS is delighted to be recognised as a Times Top 50 Employer for Women for the fourth consecutive year.

The Times Top 50 Employers for Women is the UK’s most highly profiled and well-established listing of employers leading the way on workplace gender equality. The report shines a spotlight on firms that are making a real difference to improving inclusive leadership and transparency in the workplace.

Penelope Warne, The Senior Partner at CMS comments:

“We are proud that The Times has again recognised CMS for our commitment to embedding and promoting gender inclusion and equality throughout our business. We work hard to make our firm a supportive and inclusive place for both women and men to work. Over the past year, we have implemented a number of exciting initiatives to support our talented people and foster a culture that encourages a healthy work life balance. Our Time Out and Wellbeing programmes are two such examples, which are already having far-reaching effects on our people and our business.

“As a firm, we continue to engage and share best practice with the wider community on important diversity and inclusion issues to bring about real change and help shift perspectives in our communities and throughout society.”

Chloe Chambraud, Director of Gender Equality at Business in the Community said:

“Congratulations to all of the organisations who have been named as a Times Top 50 Employer for Women this year. Your relentless work to make your workplace more diverse and more inclusive deserves to be recognised and celebrated. We are delighted to see a growing number of employers supporting men to take on more caring responsibilities and tackling the root causes of gender inequality.

“Historically companies focused on policies and processes to address the inequality and bias that employees face on a daily basis. But this is not enough. It is only by changing the culture and promoting positive behaviours from the top that employers will see real change, and we look forward to supporting them on this journey.”
