CMS most active M&A firm in Europe according to Bloomberg
13 January 2017
CMS has once again topped the Bloomberg Global M&A 2016 League Tables for deal count across Europe, a position the firm has maintained since 2013. In addition, CMS secured no.1 rankings in the UK, Germany, France and CEE by deal count and in the Mid-Market Bloomberg rankings for Western & Eastern Europe by deal count (Up to USD 500m & Up to USD 250m) and UK Mid-Market by deal count (Up to USD 500m & Up to USD 250m).
The Bloomberg M&A Advisory League Tables are the definitive publication of M&A advisory rankings. The tables represent the top financial and legal advisors across a broad array of deal types, regions, and industry sectors. The rankings data is comprised of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, debt-for-equity-swaps, joint ventures, private placements of common equity and convertible securities, and the cash injection component of recapitalization according to Bloomberg standards.
The league tables are an important representation of firms’ position in the market. CMS’ top ranking across Europe, and in particular the UK, Germany, France and CEE reinforces its strong standing in its core markets, which will be further bolstered by its combination with Nabarro and Olswang on 1 May 2017.
