CMS scoops Energy Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards

CMS has been named Energy Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2016, held in London.

CMS was recognised for its role advising UK Power Networks, the largest Distribution Network Operator group in the UK, on two appeals brought before the Competition and Markets Authority (“CMA”) in relation to the RIIO-ED1 price control. These mark the first ever price control appeals brought before the CMA, and firmly position CMS at the forefront of the development of the UK electricity industry.

Congratulations to the team, led by Robert Lane with significant support from Susan Hankey, Juliet Stradling, Eliza Bartlett, Thomas Forman, Rupert Goodman and Ruth Derruau.

Now in its 22nd year, The Lawyer Awards celebrates excellence across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, and the Bar. It is arguably one of the leading awards initiatives within the legal sector, and this win underscores the firm’s important role within the Energy sector.
