CMS signs up to 'This Is Me' campaign in support of Mental Health Awareness Week

14 May 2018

CMS is proud to be supporting ‘This Is Me’, a pioneering London-wide mental health campaign led by the Lord's Mayor Appeal, which aims to reduce the stigma of mental health in the workplace by encouraging employees who have experienced mental health problems to share their stories. Ten CMS employees from all areas of the firm have participated in CMS’ first ‘This is Me’ film, by sharing their own experiences on camera. Building on the impact of This is Me, CMS will also be taking part in the Green Ribbon Campaign, also organised by the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, which will run during Mental Health Awareness Week, 14 - 18 May 2018.

Penelope Warne, The Senior Partner at CMS, comments: “Mental health is an important issue that deserves attention. We are proud to join the growing number of organisations in support of The Lord Mayor's ‘This Is Me’ and Green Ribbon Campaigns. At CMS, it is our aim to create a mentally healthy workplace, where everyone feels valued and supported to normalise conversations around mental health.”

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, CMS will be hosting a range of internal seminars and workshops across its offices in the UK to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide support and guidance to employees across the firm in managing stress. A number of important issues such as handling pressure, mental health first aid training and suicide will be explored during these sessions.
