Doug Land is a partner in our Corporate group specialising in energy and infrastructure acquisitions, disposals, equity investments, joint ventures and reorganisations. Doug is team leader for our Energy & Infrastructure transactions team.

Doug has focused on advising corporates and financial sponsors in the energy and infrastructure sectors for over 25 years. A significant amount of this work has been in the clean energy sector and he has advised on numerous transactions and projects in respect of offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen production, EV charging, energy storage and demand side response. Across the energy sector more generally, Doug has advised on transactions involving electricity transmission and distribution, gas transmission, distribution and storage, gas peakers, smart metering, IGTs and water and across the infrastructure sector more generally, Doug has advised on transactions involving ferries, telecoms, streetlighting, aerospace and defence.

Doug is a part of the CMS Energy and Climate Change practice, which has more than 450 energy and climate change lawyers, including over 100 partners. The practice works across 75 offices and builds on 40 years of experience advising on power, oil & gas and renewables.
