Sally Badham is a partner in the Real Estate Team based in the Bristol office. She has over 20 years’ experience advising clients on all aspects of real estate work, including development and investment work and landlord and tenant and estate management issues.

Sally is also heavily involved in the Real Estate Energy Team, providing support to various energy projects acting for purchasers, funders and vendors. She therefore has a complete understanding of all issues that can arise in relation to these projects and is very familiar with both acquisitions by way of option and lease and share acquisitions.

Sally advises extensively on complex development site acquisitions for large land owners.

Relevant experience

  • A supermarket retailer on dealing with the development of new stores and the sale and leaseback of several distribution centres around the UK, having previously dealt with the original negotiations and acquisition of sites for the development of state of the art centres of approximately 600,000 sq ft each.
  • The portfolio acquisition of 33 stores from the Co-operative group for Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd.
  • The mixed use development of a scheme in Hampshire to include retail use and development.
  • Shopping centres and acting on all aspects of lease renewals for landlords and tenants.
  • The letting of a juice bar in Central London.
  • Led the team on the £64million acquisition of a large retail park in Aylesbury for Aviva.
  • The property due diligence and documentation in relation to various solar farms and subsequent funding issues in relation thereto.
  • Various corporate occupier clients in connection with new lettings and exit strategies from existing buildings. 
  • A major trans-Atlantic airline in connection with their property portfolio at UK national airports.
