Sarah Meldrum is a Real Estate partner based in our Sheffield office with extensive experience of advising on a wide range of property investment and asset management matters, specialising in large portfolio transactions and multi-let properties, principally in the retail and healthcare sectors.

Sarah is involved in acquiring, disposing, financing, and managing a range of assets, and also advises on landlord and tenant issues such as tenant mix, the service charge code and property management agreements.

Relevant experience

  • The Mall Fund on the on-going letting and management of their regional shopping centres at Luton, Maidstone and Blackburn.
  • Essex County Council Pension Fund on the on-going management, sales and acquisitions of a wide range of properties managed by Aviva for the Pension Fund, including offices, retail parks, industrial estates, shopping centres, retail parades and some development sites.
  • The Lewis Trust Group on their management and sales programme of a diverse property portfolio.
  • The Mall Fund on the 2016 sale of The Mall Camberley for GBP 86m, through the sale of all of the units within The Main Square Camberley Unit Trust, to Surrey Health Borough Council. The sale followed on from the asset management of the shopping centre by the Sheffield management team.
  • Danshell Healthcare on the 2016 re-financing of a portfolio of 19 care homes.
  • The Mall Fund on the GBP 370m re-financing of its shopping centres (Capital & Regional) at Luton, Blackburn and Maidstone, and the ancillary re-structuring of the Fund in relation to The Mall Luton.
  • Essex County Council on the GBP 30m acquisition of a mixed retail/office building in the centre of Manchester.
  • Grosvenor Liverpool Fund on the 2015 GBP 410m re-financing of Liverpool One. This instruction followed on from Sarah’s historic involvement in the setting up of the joint venture vehicle which manages the scheme and Sarah’s continued involvement in the property management agreements in place across Liverpool One.
