Highlights of experience in Insurance in Hungary

• MetLife on the acquisitions of Aviva Czech Life, Aviva Hungary Life, Aviva Romania Life and Aviva Romania Pensions from Aviva. Subsequently, advised on the cross-border merger of MetLife Hungary into an Irish company and a related restructuring process in order to continue its operation as a branch in Hungary.
• Chubb on preparing and reviewing general terms and conditions and other insurance related agreements, as well as the implementation of insurance products in Hungary (in particular property insurance, CAR/EAR, cargo, professional indemnity, environmental liability, illness and accident insurance) and on insurance regulatory, commercial law and consumer protection questions.
• Insurance consortium led by a leading international insurance organisation on a major banking fraud of more than 50 million USD in Hungary. We are responsible for monitoring litigation proceedings, as well as for advising on possible recovery actions and a settlement agreement
• Genworth on doing insurance business in Hungary based on the principle of freedom of settlement (foundation and licensing of the branch office) and on reviewing general terms and conditions and other agreements related to its insurance products.
