Industry Recognition for RegZone – CMS’s Financial Services Regulatory Alert Service

26/03/2015

RegZone, CMS’s redesigned online alert service on financial services and insurance regulation, has recently won several prestigious online media awards. RegZone is part of CMS’s Law-Now service and provides expert analysis and daily news from the fast-changing world of European financial institution regulation.

In March, CMS won the MPF Award for Management Excellence 2015 in the category “Best Provision of Know-How” for RegZone. According to the judging panel, the RegZone platform displays both technical sophistication, with filters that enable users to receive content most relevant to their business interests, and a user-friendly interface. The Awards are an integral part of the MPF International Management Excellence Summit, in association with Harvard Business Review and Financial Times.

RegZone won three “Best in Class” Interactive Media Awards in the categories Legal, Professional Services and Reference. The Interactive Media Awards recognise the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honour individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievement. The judges evaluate websites based on five criteria: design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance.

In December 2014, RegZone was shortlisted for the Sitecore Experience Awards 2014 in the Business and Professional Services category.

“Ten years ago, a client would ask their lawyers to tell them what the law is. Nowadays, they can find much of this online. Our job now is to provide clients with the regulatory information they need to know, through services such as RegZone, and then advise them directly on what that regulation means for them,’’ said CMS Frankfurt partner and co-head of the global Banking and Finance Practice at CMS, Joachim Kaetzler. “Between 10,000 and 20,000 pages of financial services regulation are released daily. The CMS service tracks European regulation as well as regulation in various local jurisdictions across Europe. In particular, the banking and insurance industries are struggling to cope with this ‘tsunami’ of information.”

RegZone provides news, expert analysis, a database of regulators, research tools, training and events (held in the City of London, Canary Wharf, Edinburgh, Paris and Frankfurt) for those working in banking and finance, insurance, funds and asset management and securities and derivatives (http://www.cms-lawnow.com/regzone).
