We regularly advise on potential tax implications on the structuring and implementation of various transactions. Our lawyers advise both Kenyan and foreign clients on various Kenyan tax issues including income and other employment taxes, corporation tax, value added tax, withholding tax, compensating tax, excise duty etc.

Our key approach is first understanding our Clients’ business and advising accordingly thereafter. With our diverse client base of multi-national and major national companies, the firm has the opportunity to develop expertise in industries such as banking and insurance, energy and mining, telecommunications, manufacturing and retail amongst other industries.

In conjunction with the tax departments of  various top and mid tier tax firms, we are in a position to advise clients on the legal as well as practical implications of Kenyan tax laws.

In addition to the above, we also:

  • Assist our clients with the preparation and filing of income tax returns for companies, branches and employees, and advises on the payment of installments and final taxes.
  • Provide payroll services to include monthly and annual tax and social security filings.
  • We also provide second opinions (legal aspects) to Tax advisors and advises on and undertakes tax appeals to the local tax committees and appeal courts.
