Private International Law
We have a team that specialises in private international law, particularly given the effects of the new Code of Private International Law instated by Law no. 1.448 of 28 June 2017 that came into effect on 7 July 2017.
We provide advisory and litigation services for any civil dispute involving private individuals and an element of foreign law (be it jurisdiction, governing law or conflict of laws).
In this area, we have particular expertise in the recognition and enforcement of foreign court rulings and public documents, the status and capacity of persons, marriage contracts and matrimonial property regimes, divorce and separation, filiation and child support, and succession and succession planning.
This team is known in Monaco as the leader in its field.
Christine Pasquier-Ciulla is a member of IAFL (International Academy of Family Lawyers) and STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
Our team, specialised in private international law and the law of persons, is truly international, with training in foreign jurisdictions, fluency in many working languages and close contacts with legal specialists overseas. They are a credit to our firm and we leverage their expertise for our clients.
Our firm is ranked as one of the top law firms in this field by Chambers Global and Legal 500.
