On Thursday 8 October CMS Derks Star Busmann and CMS Hasche Sigle, together with the Dutch-German Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) and Klein&Coll., will be organizing the seminar “Acquisitions in Germany in the current crisis”.

This workshop is intended for Dutch companies which are aiming to buy a German company, are currently involved in a purchase or already own a German subsidiary. The workshop is designed particularly for management personnel who are responsible within their company for strategy, finance and/or legal affairs.

The seminar will focus on the practical aspects of acquisitions in Germany in the current crisis, dealing in particular with the unique aspects of the German market, as well as the legal aspects of acquisitions. How do I calculate the purchase price? What are the risks to the purchaser when buying a company in Germany during the crisis? What problems need to be resolved to do with finance? What are all the dos and don’ts? How can personnel cutbacks be made in German companies? Experienced advisers will provide an answer to all these questions, with particular emphasis on the differences between Germany and the Netherlands. After the meeting there will be the opportunity to ask questions over drinks.
