On Tuesday 13 April CMS Derks Star Busmann and CMS Hasche Sigle, together with the Dutch-German Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) and Chamber of Commerce in Düsseldorf, will be organizing the seminar “Commercial agencies in the Netherlands” about the statutory requirements for conducting a commercial agency in the Netherlands.
Subject
For everyone who wants to expand his or her business activities on the Dutch market or increase already existing commitments, a commercial agency may be a viable option. During this seminar you will receive important information about the statutory requirements for conducting a commercial agency in the Netherlands. You will be informed about the various options and aspects you have to comply with under Dutch legislation, with special attention given to the differences between Dutch and German legislation in this area using a number of real-life examples to clarify matters even further. At the end of the seminar there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to discuss any issues individually with CMS Derks Star Busmann's experts.
Target group
The seminar is intended for German firms that want to do business in the Netherlands and are interested in setting up a commercial agency or already have done so. Attendance is limited to 15 persons.

Speakers
The speakers at the seminar are:
- Ton Heebing, CMS Derks Star Busmann, Arnhem
On behalf of CMS Derks Star Busmann, Ton Heebing advises Dutch and German firms that want to do business in Germany and the Netherlands respectively. He also advises in drawing up contracts, setting up branch offices, claims for compensation etc. Ton is a specialist in the area of agency and distribution law in the Netherlands and Germany. He is particularly involved in the automotive, construction and service sector. - Dr Thomas Manderla, CMS Hasche Sigle, Düsseldorf
Dr Thomas Manderla is a partner of CMS Hasche Sigle in Düsseldorf, and an expert in the areas of trademark law, competition law, commercial representation and dealership law. As co-author of the Handbook of Distribution Law (in German), published by C.H. Becks, he deals with issues to do with distribution contracts. Among his clients are companies in the steel and metal construction sector, the automotive sector, as well as the insurance, IT and telecommunications sectors.

Participation in the seminar costs EUR 199 (excl. VAT). Members of DNHK will receive 20% discount.
