On Thursday 16 September 2010, CMS Derks Star Busmann and CMS Hasche Sigle, in cooperation with the Nederlands-Duitse Handelskamer (DNHK), will be organizing a seminar on the statutory conditions of a commercial representation in Germany.
During this seminar we will look in greater depth at the various options and aspects that need to be taken into account when concluding an agency agreement in accordance with German law. Attention will also be given to differences compared to Dutch law in this area, and practical examples will be given. After the session there will be the opportunity over drinks to ask questions.
This workshop is intended for management executives in the business sector who want to do business in Germany and are interested in a commercial representation or who have already started up one. A maximum of 25 persons may participate. Since part of the seminar will be presented in German, it is important that the participants have a basic knowledge of German.

The speakers during the seminar will be:
- Thomas Manderla, CMS Hasche Sigle, Düsseldorf
Thomas Manderla is a partner of CMS Hasche Sigle in Düsseldorf. He is an expert in the area of trademark law, competition law, commercial representation law and dealer law. As co-author of the handbook on selling rights published by H. Beck he regularly publishes on issues and questions to do with dealer contracts. His clients include companies from the steel and metal construction industry, automotive suppliers, insurance companies, IT businesses and telecommunications companies. - Ton Heebing, CMS Derks Star Busmann, Arnhem
Ton Heebing of CMS Derks Star Busmann works for Dutch businesses that wish to prepare themselves for doing business in Germany (drawing up contracts, setting up branches, licences, etc.) as well as for German businesses with similar plans in the Netherlands. His particular interest and experience is in agency and distribution law, both in the Netherlands and in Germany.
Participation costs
The cost of the seminar for participants is € 199 (excl. VAT). Members of the DNHK receive a 20% discount.

If you cancel your registration after the registration deadline, you will be charged the full amount for the seminar. After receipt of your registration the DNHK will send you written confirmation as well as the invoice.
