Appointments at CMS: COO and head HRM

Barbara Lamberts (48) has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CMS in the Netherlands as per 1 July 2016. Previously, she was a board member (CFO) of KPMG and Kinderopvang Nederland. In addition, Erwin Saelens (43) has been appointed as head of HRM as per 1 July 2016. In this position he will be responsible for all Dutch HR and recruitment activities within CMS. His previous position was with the Dutch law firm Loyens & Loeff.

Recruiting a third board member in the role of COO is part of the new governance structure that CMS implemented in March 2016. "We aim to manage our firm in a more business oriented way and to stimulate entrepreneurship within the firm. With our new external COO, we are confident that we will achieve these goals", says Willem Hoorneman, managing partner of CMS in the Netherlands.

With the appointment of the new COO, the new board of directors of CMS in the Netherlands is complete and consists of: Willem Hoorneman (managing partner), Erik Vorst (board member) and Barbara Lamberts (COO).
