CMS DSB advises NordCapital on purchase of Westgate II

16/09/2010

The Hamburg-based German real estate fund NordCapital has purchased Westgate II. PricewaterhouseCoopers is based in this office building in Amsterdam’s Riekerpolder. The owner/developer was Lips Capital Group, previously known as Burgfonds.

Westgate II has a gross floor area of 30,000 m2 (the same size as our Mondriaantoren) with a two-level covered car park for 580 vehicles. The office building was opened in March of this year and is directly adjacent to the A4 in the area referred to as the Verlengde Zuidas. The Westgate II office complex, which was designed by Rob Ligtvoet of Kraaijvanger Urbis, is now seen as the new “city gate” of Amsterdam when travelling in from Schiphol.

The office is an expansion of Westgate I (owned by Achmea Vastgoed), where PricewaterhouseCoopers relocated to back in 2005 and which is connected to the Westgate II building through an underground tunnel.

CMS Derks Star Busmann assisted NordCapital with the purchase. The team comprised: Manfred de Kok, Jan van Vulpen, Arnout Scholten, Cecilia van der Weijden, Christiaan Scholten van Aschat, Femke Stroucken and Bastiaan Oudenaarden and was led by Roland Bos.
