From 2008 the Dutch Ministry of Finance introduced an annual amendment cycle of Dutch financial markets laws. These amendment acts usually contain amendments to a broad range of topics relevant for different parts of the Dutch financial sector. In the attached client briefing you will find an overview of all the amendments that the Amendment Act Financial Markets 2015 introduced with effect from 1 January 2015. We also anticipate in this client briefing on changes further in the future as the broad contents of the Amendment Act for 2016 are already known. 2015 Will be the year where Solvency II rules for insurers will be known in their final form with the adoption in the forthcoming months of the European Regulatory Technical Standards. It is our expectation that many developments will occur in the forthcoming year in the field of insurance regulation.
