Oman, the largest non-OPEC oil and natural gas producer in the Middle East, offers one of the most commercially-friendly environments in the region, and provides a modern business law framework, an open economy with respect to free markets, full repatriation of capital, net profit and royalties, contract security, relatively low taxes (no personal income tax), ease of access to regional, Asian and African markets, and a one-stop-shop at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for business registration.

Having successfully supported clients in the region for many years, CMS Oman was established in 2014 through a partnership with a respected local firm, Amur Al Rashdi, and Benjamin Ewing Advocates and Legal Consultants.

The Middle East region is of great importance to CMS and we continue to invest in our growing regional capabilities. In the MENA region CMS has offices in Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Morocco and Turkiye, with consultants in Lebanon and Iraq.
