Power

Back to Energy & Climate Change

We provide specialised legal advice in the power industry, both to private companies and public entities, regardless of the nature of their activities, whether power generation, transmission or distribution.

We have extensive experience in the development of electrical projects with renewable energy resources using solar, wind, biomass and hydropower energies, as well as with non-renewable energy resources using thermal technology (single and combined cycle) and hydropower (exceeding 20 MW).

We help our clients to obtain energy permits that facilitate their activities, as well as permits for study and works execution and commercial operation of their power plants.

We have successfully participated in advising our clients on the acquisition of electricity companies holding significant market shares. Similarly, we have participated in privatization and tendering processes for generation and electricity concessions held by PROINVERSION. We have also participated successfully in Renewable Energy Resources Auctions (RERs) organized by OSINERGMIN and Invitations to Tender issued by the distribution companies under the scope of Law No. 28832 (“Act to Ensure the Efficient Development of Electricity Generation”). We actively represent and engage in the defence of our clients before the decision-making bodies of the COES (Economic Operation Committee of the National Interconnected System), the DGE (General Electricity Bureau) and OSINERGMIN (Supervisory Body for Investment in Energy and Mining), and we also participate in electricity-related arbitration proceedings.
