11/03/2015

CMS has been ranked in the fifth edition of World Trademark Review 1000, the standalone research directory focusing on trademark practices and practitioners. We received a silver award in Poland and Scotland, and a Bronze award for our trademark work in England. Furthermore Tomasz Koryzma, head of the CMS Poland IP team, Tom Scourfield, Head of the CMS UK IP team, and Scotland Senior Partner Laurence Ward, were highly recommended by clients and ranked in their respective jurisdictions.

"CMS’s client roster is a veritable who’s who of household names, both local and international, including brands such as Hewlett- Packard and Lacoste: “It is very prominent in the luxury and pharma industries.”

The team’s business acumen makes them stand out; more than just formulaic in their approach, they tailor their strategy to our needs.”

Captaining the trademark division is Tomasz Koryzma, who is most at home on litigation and anti-counterfeiting mandates. “He is fast on the uptake and always responds quickly. I am more than happy to recommend him, especially for his skills in anti-counterfeiting.”

Meanwhile, the “thorough and dependable” Tom Scourfield “gives pragmatic advice, underpinned by an excellent understanding of the commercial and industry contexts. He swiftly gets to grips with the issues and is adept at driving cases forward, ensuring disputes are resolved in as timely and cost effective a manner as possible."
