Article about the opening of the law firms capital to non-lawyers, with the contribution of Rui Pena
The Government has already approved the bill which amends the legal framework of public and professional associations which provides that law firms can be from any professional shareholders. In the middle, opinions are divided on the advantages and disadvantages of the measure.
"It's a revolution, no doubt, but I do not believe that is the end of the world," defended Rui Pena, of Rui Pena & Arnaut. The lawyer welcomes the presence of "third parties that are not lawyers, since it does not exert a decisive or dominant influence" remembering that currently the uses of these professionals on a "outsourcing" is already happenning.
