Meet The Law - Energy

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Portuguese Government, the European Commission (EC), the European Central Bank (ECB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been signed on May 3rd.

This memorandum provides objectives and measures in relation to various areas of politics and of the economy. In each of these areas, the Portuguese Government bears ambitious obligations, especially on a goal orientated level, within the overarching objective of reducing the deficit and the public debt as well as the increase of economic competitiveness. Also in the energy and public procurement sectors, important objectives are established and ambitious measures are outlined, all of relevant importance and hereby noted. In this Meet the Law we summarize the most relevant aspects foreseen for each of these areas.
