Laura Capata is a Senior Associate in the Commercial and Regulatory team at CMS Romania. Laura’s practice is focused on competition law, public procurement law, commercial contracts, regulatory, as well as on general commercial matters in the technology, communications and infrastructure sectors. Laura has broad experience advising domestic and international clients on a variety of matters including: bidding and challenging public procurement award procedures before national authorities, preparing and filing competition law complaints to the Romanian Competition Council,  competition law advice (including state aid), drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements; due diligence in connection with M&A transactions; matters regarding unfair commercial practices; advertising and promotion; representation before public authorities. In 2019, Laura completed a Blue Book internship with the European Commission, the Directorate General for Competition, Unit D6 Financial services and Pharma in Brussels.
