Maria Orlyk, a local partner at CMS in Kyiv, was recently accepted as a member in the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) following a thorough review of her nomination by the board of directors. She is the first and currently only Ukrainian member in this association.

Maria Orlyk is a local partner in the Kyiv office of CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, which she joined when it was first established in 2006. She is an experienced Ukrainian attorney who holds an LL.M. degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law (USA) as well as a master's degree in International Law and a diploma in Translation (English/Ukrainian) from the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Her areas of specialisation include dispute resolution, corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, competition and labour law. She has ample experience in advising clients from various industries, including mining, financial services, pharmaceuticals, heavy machinery, energy, paint and coatings and others.
