Nataliya Nakonechna is a senior associate in Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang with more than 15 years of experience in leading international law firms. Her expertise includes advising on competition, regulatory, employment and general commercial matters. Nataliya has extensive experience representing clients in a wide variety of commercial law matters, such as commercial contracts, supply services, e-commerce, design and manufacturing, data protection, advertising, sponsorship and marketing, consumer sales, software licensing, outsourcing and outstaffing of personnel, or sales, agency and distribution and franchise agreements.

Nataliya gained exceptional project management skills coordinating and supervising various projects relating to commercial matters, including competition, employment, data privacy and IP; leading complex pre-M&A projects (including in IT sector), often involving several jurisdictions; advising clients (including leading IT companies) on various matters, including day-to-day support and strategic projects/cases. 

Her extensive experience in all aspects of competition law, includes mergers & acquisitions, formation of joint ventures and strategic partnerships, pricing and distribution matters, investigations on abuse of dominancy and anticompetitive concerted actions.  Nataliya has counselled clients across various industries on obtaining clearances from the Ukrainian competition authority for numerous complex domestic and cross-border transactions. She also has extensive experience in advising the clients on antitrust compliance matters.

Nataliya recently was on one month secondment (virtual) to a British multinational telecommunications holding company dealing with personal data protection matters.

  • SD Capital on competition matters, including successful obtaining of the merger control and concerted actions notification clearances the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in connection with a joint venture with P&O Maritime established for certain marine services in the Port Yuzhnyi
  • MV Cargo on competition law matter with respect to the USD $100 million joint venture with Cargill for the construction of a new grain terminal in Ukraine’s Black Sea port of Yuzhni. Our work includes preparation of merger control filling in Ukraine
