Khiloni Jobanputra is a commercial contracts/technology & media focused transactional lawyer. Before joining CMS, Khiloni worked in the banking regulatory team at Allen & Overy and then moved to Clyde & Co where she worked in both the London and Dubai office. Khiloni has worked within the private sector for 10 years, over 6 of which have been focused on the technology/ general commercial sector, working with various UK, MENA and international clients. Since joining CMS, Khiloni has been involved in a broad range of technology/media and general commercial contract work.

Relevant experience

  • Lead associate on large IT transaction for a heavily regulated Moroccan bank procuring business critical software from an IT supplier that forms part of their core banking platform. Involved in drafting and negotiating a software development agreement and IT outsourcing agreement. 
  • Drafting and leading negotiations for various IT services agreements for the procurement of a quote comparison platform for a large UK insurance company as part of a wider insurance/reinsurance transaction. 
  • Key legal advisor on large 3PL logistics transaction for British fashion and lifestyle brand.  Heavily involved in drafting and negotiating detailed heads of terms and supplier contract. 
  • Regularly working with one of the big five tech companies on multi-jurisdictional projects, regulatory advice and contract reviews. 
  • Carrying out due diligence and reviewing various commercial agreements as part a wider JV transaction between the client and an African media company for a new streaming service. 
  • Providing day to day legal support on various commercial contracts for an American consumer goods and foods delivery company. 
  • Preparing an intra-group data transfer agreement for an energy company. 
  • Working with social media company on multi-jurisdictional projects and media-focused regulatory advice.
  • Part of the Hindu network at CMS and involved in organizing various events to promote diversity.
