Andrea Potz Is Attorney-at-Law at CMS

Effective immediately, Andrea Potz (32) is attorney-at-law in the labour law team at international law firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz. She specialises in European labour law and equal treatment law.

Andrea Potz obtained both a diploma and a doctoral degree in law and also completed a further degree programme in ancient history at the University of Vienna. In the course of her studies, she also spent a year at KU Leuven university in Belgium. Her legal training focused on labour, European and procedural law. After the required year of legal traineeship, she held the position of university assistant at the Institute for Austrian and European Labour Law and Social Security Law of the Vienna University of Economics and Business from 2006 to 2010.

In 2010, Andrea Potz joined the CMS labour law team in Vienna as an associate, where she will now continue her work as an attorney-at-law. Her main areas of expertise are European labour law, equal treatment law and public sector employment law. She particularly advises spin-off companies in all labour law issues.

In 2012, Andrea Potz received the Hugo Sinzheimer award, which is conferred to outstanding doctoral theses in the field of labour law. She is the author of numerous labour-law-related publications and has been a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business since 2010, teaching courses in Austrian and European labour and social security law.
