CMS advises ALPLA on the acquisition of recycling companies in Spain

The packaging services provider ALPLA has acquired two recycling companies in Spain. An international CMS team from Vienna and Madrid provided comprehensive legal support to ALPLA.

At the end of October, ALPLA signed binding documentation regarding the acquisition of Suminco S.A. in Montcada (near Barcelona) and Replacal S.L. in Palencia (north of Madrid). Both companies are part of a Spanish family business with more than 35 years of experience in the production of HDPE recyclates. The annual capacity of the plants is to be expanded to up to 35,000 tons. The business operations will continue as before with the existing management. The contracting parties have agreed not to disclose the details, signing and closing occurred simultaneously.
