CMS Advises EVN in cross-border restructuring

Vienna/Duesseldorf – A CMS team headed by Johannes Reich-Rohrwig (Vienna) and Dirk Jannott (Duesseldorf) comprehensively advised the Austrian energy group EVN in the course of a cross-border restructuring. Some operations of the Essen-based group company WTE Wassertechnik GmbH were spun off and subsequently transferred to the Austrian group by way of a cross-border merger.

“Cross-border mergers have become a common measure in corporate law. At the same time, differences in the national jurisdictions of the respective companies and aspects of labour relations law continue to be challenges”, Johannes Reich-Rohrwig commented. “Once again the outstanding cooperation of multiple international CMS locations has paid off.”

The CMS team was made up of the following experts:

CMS Vienna

Johannes Reich-Rohrwig (lead partner, corporate law)
Theresa Freissmuth (attorney-at-law, corporate law)
Arno Zimmermann (associate, corporate law)

CMS Duesseldorf

Dirk Jannott (lead partner, corporate law)
Rainer Kienast (partner, labour law)
Paul Caesar Rode (senior associate, corporate law)
Nadine Bodenschatz (senior associate, corporate law)
Richard Jansen (associate, labour law)
