From the Corona Handbook, through a detailed analysis of part-time discrimination in collective agreements, to a practical commentary on the procedural law of the labour and social courts (ASGG): the range of topics covered by the CMS employment law team's recently published specialist literature on employment law is broad and up to date.
For many years, CMS lawyers have recognised that engaging in scholarly research in their own specialist fields can better help them to offer clients sound and creative solutions to complex problems. The following three recent publications testify to the demand for our employment lawyers’ expertise in the field of employment law.
Corona Handbook with a focus on labour law
The measures taken to contain the COVID-19 pandemic changed the legal situation several times in a short period of time. Manz publishing house reacted quickly: The Corona Handbook, which is regularly updated online, helps interested parties keep an overview of the unfolding situation. CMS has made a scholarly contribution to this project, in the field of labour law: Christoph Wolf (Hon.-Prof., Partner), Andrea Potz (Partner), Daniela Krömer (Attorney at Law), Andreas Jöst (Senior Lawyer), Dominik Stella (Associate), Florian Hörmann (Associate), Mirjam Holuschka (Legal Assistant) and Daniel Scharf (Legal Assistant), as well as in public law: Robert Keisler (Partner).

First comprehensive study of part-time discrimination in collective agreements
Florian Hörmann, an associate at CMS Vienna, published his award-winning dissertation, in which he deals with part-time discrimination in collective agreements, with Manz in early July. It is the first comprehensive and systematic study of this topic in Austria.

Special features of labour and social court proceedings
Also available since July is the latest ASGG Commentary, published by Verlag Österreich.
