The circle of partners of the international law firm widens to include a further member: MMag. Dr. Andrea Potz (37) has been a partner in Employment & Pensions at CMS in Vienna since 1 February 2019.

Andrea Potz provides comprehensive advice in all areas of labour law and represents employers before courts and administrative authorities.,Her main areas of expertise are personnel management, equal treatment and diversity. She is a sought-after contact for all matters relating to labour law in the (tertiary) education sector, especially at universities. She also tends to numerous clients in the pharmaceutical, electrical and electronics industries as well as in the IT sector.
Andrea Potz completed her legal studies as well as her doctoral studies in law and her second degree in Ancient History and Classical Studies at the University of Vienna. During a one-year study in Belgium (KU Leuven), she focused on European and procedural law. She then worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Austrian and European Labour Law and Social Security Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Andrea Potz started her career at CMS as an associate in 2010, registering as an attorney-at-law in 2014.
She is author of numerous publications, and was awarded the prestigious Hugo Sinzheimer Prize in 2012 for outstanding scientific work in the field of labour law at the University of Frankfurt. Since 2010, Andrea Potz has been regularly invited to give lectures on Austrian and European labour and social security law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
