Marie-Christine Lidl is now working in a new position at CMS Vienna. As attorney-at-law she remains true to her previous focus advising on national and international transactions and remains part of one of the largest corporate law/M&A teams in Austria.
Associate at CMS in Vienna since 2016, Marie-Christine Lidl’s career at CMS began strictly speaking as legal assistant in 2013/2014. She gained certain experience in related competition and tax law before specialising in corporate law and M&A. In addition to advising on general corporate law matters, reorganisations and joint venture projects, she mainly advises national and international clients on M&A transactions and transactions in the financial services sector. She is a member of the Corporate Transactions Team, which has provided lead advice on numerous M&A deals in recent years.
"Marie-Christine Lidl has been an important pillar of our Corporate Transactions Team for several years," says partner Alexander Rakosi. "We are delighted that she will continue to be available to our clients with her broad expertise in the transaction field, now as an attorney-at-law".
Marie-Christine Lidl studied law at the University of Vienna, spending a semester at the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. In addition to her law studies, she also completed a bachelor's degree in journalism and communication science. She is currently taking a master’s degree in political science.
Her professional experience is as varied as her academic training, including international experience gained at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in 2015 first as intern and later as legal administrator.
