CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, one of the leading law firms in Austria and Southeast Europe, will merge with the prominent corporate boutique law firm Dallmann & Juranek.
The merger is part of an accelerated growth strategy, consolidating the leading position of CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz in accordance with the company’s goal to emerge as one of the top three law firms in Austria and Southeast Europe. The merger is subject to the formal approval of the Vienna Bar Association.
With this merger, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz and Dallmann & Juranek are following an international trend in the field of legal advisory services. For quite some time, know-how pooling and the bundling of resources as the result of mergers have occurred frequently. However, in Austria the two law firms are playing a pioneering role. “With Dallmann & Juranek, we have been able to attract a top-notch partner with outstanding commercial law expertise to jointly leverage our growth path. The accompanying expansion of our team of specialists enables us to offer an added value to our clients,” says Bernt Elsner, Managing Partner of CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz.
“The merger offers our two law firms, which excellently complement each other, the opportunity to demonstrate the quality of our work on a larger scale as well as an extended geographical radius. Accordingly, we will be able to provide our clients with an even larger portfolio of consulting services and a greater range of legal resources in the future, and support them throughout Europe in all legal issues which may arise,“ says Armin Dallmann, Managing Partner of Dallmann & Juranek.
CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz offers comprehensive legal consulting services, specializing in M&A, banking and finance, real estate, tax and labour regulations, IP and IT law as well as public procurement. The merged firm will encompass about 120 lawyers in nine European countries, thus consolidating its market position as one of the leading law firms in Austria and Southeast Europe.
The merger is part of the growth strategy being pursued by CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz. “This year we have opened up two new offices in Ljubljana und Sarajevo. The merger with Dallmann & Juranek is another important milestone in the expanded market presence of our company in Austria and on the Southeast European markets. We will further expand our leading position in the field of banking & finance, and thus ensure optimal servicing of our clients in all these markets. Our target is to rank among the top three law firms in Austria and the SEE region,” says Peter Huber, Managing Partner of CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz.
