Theresa Lotter Becomes Attorney-at-Law at CMS

Theresa Lotter (28) is mainly active in the fields of banking and capital markets law as well as corporate law. From now on, she will contribute her expertise in these practice fields at CMS in Vienna as an attorney-at-law. Having joined CMS already as an associate, she will now continue her career at the law firm, supporting clients from a wide range of industries with her varied expertise.

Theresa Lotter, who is originally from Germany, was admitted to the Tübingen Bar Association already this summer. In September of this year, she was also registered as an established European lawyer in Vienna. After working for CMS in the fields of corporate law and M&A in the course of her two-year professional legal training following her academic studies and joining the CMS team in Vienna as an associate, she will now continue her path with the international law firm as an attorney-at-law. In addition to corporate law, she will also deal with banking and capital markets law in the future.

Theresa Lotter’s legal studies at both the University of Tübingen and the University of Vienna paved the way for what would become an international legal career comprising mandates in both Germany and Austria. She was also a research assistant to Prof. Heinz-Dieter Assmann at the Chair in Civil Law, Trade and Commercial Law, Comparative Law and Legal Theory at the University of Tübingen’s Faculty of Law.

Theresa Lotter gained comprehensive legal insights working for a wide variety of institutions and organisations in the course of her professional legal training. She can also draw on valuable practical experience in the fields of medical and medical malpractice law, juvenile criminal law as well as anti-corruption law.
