Gaël Chuffart, partner in Employment Law at CMS Belgium, has been appointed Regional Director EMEA within World Law Group (WLG).
CMS Belgium has been a member of The World Law Group since it was established in 1988. It is one of the oldest and largest global networks of independent full-service law firms, specially created to meet the global legal needs of multinational companies by providing immediate access to top legal professionals around the globe. Gaël, who joined the CMS' Brussels office in 2004, and has been a partner at CMS Belgium since 2013. He has extensive experience in a wide range of employment and social security matters, ranging from Collective labour relations to individual labour law and remuneration conditions. He also advises on the international movement of employees. Furthermore, he provides specialized assistance in complementary pension schemes (and related products) and the use of technology and communication in the work place (internet, e-mail, telework, privacy …).
Since February 2020, Gaël has been acting as co-head of the WLG Employment practice. During his appointment as co-head, Gaël was actively involved in organizing an e-Conference together with the World Law Group on various Human Resources topics to help clients cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. These included issues such as returning to work after lockdown, best practices in the workplace and the employer’s obligations regarding how to deal with mental stress (you can find more information here).
As the Regional Director EMEA within WLG, Gaël will ensure the further development of the cooperation between the various practices of the World Law Group worldwide, in order to ensure that we provide top quality advice to our clients globally.
