I was touched by the optimistic tone of ‘L’écologie du bonheur’, by the Prix Francqui’s 2009 laureate, Eric Lambin. Isn’t mankind inevitably compelled to respect and promote the environment to be happy? In other words, isn’t protecting the environment simply protecting one’s own happiness?
Eric Lambin provides a clear and outstandingly documented synthesis of the interaction between human happiness and the environment. Finally, could man’s benevolent disposition towards nature not the key to the fight for our environment?
