Pascal Favre is the head of the Corporate/M&A and Competition Practice Groups of CMS Geneva.

Pascal regularly advises clients on all types of international and domestic M&A transactions, transaction finance, corporate restructurings, relocations, corporate law and general contract matters. His practice focuses particularly on joint ventures and projects based both in Switzerland and abroad. Pascal also has extensive experience in acquisition finance, corporate lending, crowdfunding and collective investment schemes, with a special emphasis on those involving real estate.

In addition to developing a broad Corporate/M&A practice, Pascal also specializes in Swiss competition and distribution laws. He frequently handles, on behalf of corporate clients, the competition law aspects of their domestic or cross-border M&A transactions. Pascal has developed solid experience in notifications on concentrations and merger control procedures involving Swiss or foreign companies operating in Switzerland. He also regularly represents companies in complex antitrust proceedings brought before the Swiss Competition Commission. In addition to advising on matters involving searches and internal investigations, Pascal counsels companies on compliance and leniency programs in the context of a continuously evolving competition regulatory environment.

Pascal is recommended as a competition practitioner by leading ranking publications. Legal 500 EMEA 2018 has recognized him as "impressive" for Competition. Most recently, Pascal has been identified by Global Competition Review 2018 and his work on behalf of SNCF Mobilités has been included in the GCR 100 Global Elite’s 18th edition.

Clients from across a variety of sectors particularly value Pascal’s ability to couple his knowledge of contract law with his expertise in competition law practice, and to deliver comprehensive and tailored solutions to the complex issues affecting their businesses.

Pascal is the author of numerous publications, and is a frequent lecturer at universities and speaker in the fields of contract and competition laws.
