CMS advises shareholders on the sale of R. Wick AG

06/07/2018

JAG Group, a leading process technology group which plans and builds sophisticated process plants and automation solutions for the food, pharmaceutical and biotech industry, acquires R. Wick AG in the context of a corporate succession plan from its existing shareholders.

R. Wick AG with its domicile in Küssnacht am Rigi and an operating site in the Czech Republic has vast experience in automation and robotics solutions for the machine and automotive industries. In that context, R. Wick AG builds a variety of standard robotic cells for the automation of tool machines and designs complex client-specific system solutions for production lines. While R. Wick AG is a leading supplier of automation and robotics solutions in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, the JAG Group appreciates a strong market position especially in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. By acquiring R. Wick AG, JAG Group expands its robotics business and becomes one of Switzerland's most important system integrators for robotics solutions. Furthermore, JAG Group gains additional experts and capacity in the field of mechanical construction, production and installation of robot cells as well as peripheral systems.

A team of CMS Switzerland lead by partner Stephan Werlen advised the shareholders of R. Wick AG on all legal matters of the transaction which was conducted by way of an auction process.
