Rodolfo is a member of the Corporate/M&A and TMC - Technology, Media & Communications groups. His practice focuses on M&A, corporate governance and compliance and corporate restructuring. 

Rodolfo regularly advises high profile national and international clients on data protection, privacy law and cyber-security issues, having previously undertaken a secondment at CMS London Data Protection team as a Consultant (Associate).

He also advises relevant TMC parties on Information Technology and Intellectual Property matters, such as full IT outsourcing, license, distribution, franchise, technology transfer and e-commerce agreements, privacy data protection and storage, software development contracts and computing platforms implementation. 

Prior to joining CMS Carey & Allende, he was the head of the legal department in the e-commerce company Groupon Chile.

Relevant experience

During his Secondment at CMS UK in 2019, Rodolfo participated on the Data Protection team advising on :

  • A multinational organization on the review of the requirement established by law in connection with data breach notification procedures across 85 jurisdictions worldwide.
  • An international technology company on the launch of a smart home appliance product which could involve the processing of personal data
  • An international software company on the installation of an end point data leakage prevention software which could involve the monitoring of employees activities and personal data.
  • An international software company on the drafting of privacy notices and policies required by law.
  • An international Telecoms group on the sale of its subsidiary. The operation included the revision of the policies and documents necessaries to ensure the company´s compliance with the GDPR.
  • An Energy  company on the sale of its subsidiary. The operation included a Transitional Service Agreement to ensure the operation of the company and processing and access to the databases of the seller.
