Invitation to Belt and Road - the view from Asia-Pacific

Past event
30 September 2020, 16:00 - 17:00 UTC +08:00

Although the Covid-19 pandemic has brought delays and disruption to many BRI projects, new ones are still being announced and the initiative as a whole still has considerable momentum. China has even taken the opportunity to re-energise the ‘Health Silk Road’ and ‘Digital Silk Road’ aspects of BRI. But what opportunities will BRI offer in the post-pandemic world, and how have attitudes towards it changed?

Our new report is built on feedback from over 500 people around the world who are actively involved in BRI projects, including more than 150 in Asia-Pacific. It looks at how attitudes to BRI are evolving, at developing opportunities and key risk management issues for participants in BRI.

This webinar will share the highlights of our research and analysis, including topics such as:

  • The global view of BRI, the sentiment of Chinese organisations, and how these compare with the sentiments of those active in Asia-Pacific;
  • The impact of Covid-19 on the future of BRI;
  • A spotlight on the opportunities and legal considerations for BRI projects in some key regional markets;
  • Some risk management considerations that are important for any organisation involved in BRI projects.
