CMS, China Talks About the PRC Civil Code on China Law Podcast


Dr. Ulrike Glueck, Managing Partner of CMS, China Shanghai Office and Mr. Michael Munzinger, Counsel of CMS, China have been invited to share their insights on the PRC Civil Code on China Law Podcast launched by China Law & Practice. The topic of the latest episode of China Law Podcast is "What the PRC Civil Code Means for Doing Business in China". Vincent Chow of China Law & Practice hosted the podcast.

Dr. Glueck gave a brief summary of the PRC Civil Code, the difference between a code and a law and talked about protection of privacy and personal information. Mr. Munzinger introduced personality rights and the chapter of contracts in the PRC Civil Code and the provisions influenced by China's experience with the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Glueck further talked about Germany's civil code and its relevance today and shared her insights on the impact of the Civil Code on business.
