CMS Hasche Sigle advises Viking Life-Saving Equipment A/S on acquisition of HYGRAPHA Sicherheit auf See GmbH & Co. KG

Hamburg – Viking Life-Saving Equipment A/S of Esbjerg, Denmark, has acquired all the shares in Hamburg-based ship chandler HYGRAPHA Sicherheit auf See GmbH & Co. KG. The current shareholders and managing directors, Rüdiger Steinbach and Wolfgang Lünenbürger, remain in the company.

A CMS team led by Dr Sebastian Orthmann advised Viking Life-Saving Equipment A/S on all legal aspects of the transaction.

HYGRAPHA is a leading supplier of approved and certified safety equipment to business partners worldwide. Founded in 1979, the company specialises in supplying a broad range of marine and occupational safety items.

By acquiring HYGRAPHA, market leader Viking is reinforcing its position in maritime safety and associated equipment. Viking employs some 1,300 people at 52 locations worldwide.
