On 5 December 2019, CMS, China held a breakfast meeting on 2019 China employment law updates in the Shanghai Office. HR managers and legal counsels of companies from different industries attended the meeting. Jeanette Yu, Partner and Head of Employment & Pensions, together with Sophy Wang and Ada Hua from the CMS, China employment team provided information on key updates of China employment law in 2019, which include changes of employee-related social insurance policies, regulations on gender equality in recruitment process, trade secret protection issues and highlights on changes of local regulations. Jeanette Yu gave comments on each topic. The participants talked about the challenges HRs are facing and shared their insights and experience. All guests showed great interest and had a lively discussion at the meeting.
