CMS, China Talks about PRC Law Updates on Protection of Women's Rights in the Workplace

On 16 May 2023, the Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility of the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing and H&M Group co-organized a roundtable on Supporting Gender Equality in Supply Chains in Shanghai.

Amb. Marie-Claire Swärd Capra, the Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai gave the opening remarks, and Ms. Jessica Vilhelmsson, Regional Country Manager, Far East Asia at H&M Group gave the welcome remarks.

Ms. Jeanette Yu, Partner and Head of Employment & Pensions of CMS, China was invited to give a speech on PRC Law Updates on Protection of Women's Rights in the Workplace. She introduced the latest legislation updates and shared her insight on what companies shall do in practice.

Representatives from multinational companies also shared their experiences in promoting gender equality in supply chains during the panel discussion.
