Dr. Ulrike Glueck served as Co-Arbitrator in the Grand Final of Moot Shanghai 2022

The 12th Moot Shanghai Finals and Awards Ceremony was held online on March 25, 2022. After 5 days of fierce competition, 56 teams from 19 countries and regions around the world, the teams from Loyola University Chicago - School of Law and the National University of Singapore stood out and advanced to the finals. After nearly two hours of duel, the teams from Loyola University Chicago - School of Law won the Champion of Moot Shanghai 2022.

In the final round, Mr. Philip Yang, independent arbitrator and the Member of 7th Shanghai Arbitration Commission governing body and the chairman of SHAC-Academy, served as the presiding arbitrator. Dr. Ulrike Glueck, Managing Partner of CMS, China Shanghai Office, and Mr. William Wong, senior counsel of Hong Kong and member of Shanghai International Arbitration Center 4th Committee served as co-arbitrators.

Moot Shanghai 2022 is organized by East China University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and it is co-organized by Shanghai Arbitration Commission and Shanghai International Arbitration Center. The competition is supported by UNCITRAL Regional Center of Asia and Pacific, Shanghai Bar Association, The Moot Alumni Association, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), ICC International Court of Arbitration, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.

Ulrike Glueck has been working on-site in China since 1998 and has over 20 years’ experience in China-related works. She has been recognized as a renowned China expert and one of the leading lawyers advising international companies on M&A transactions and restructuring projects in China. Since 2014, Mrs. Glueck has been included in the Panel of Arbitrators and served as one of the foreign arbitrators at Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center).
