Privacy is a key factor for the development of digital products and services. Two particular challenges need to be addressed urgently: the adaption of business processes to the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the need for common rules on data processing in a globalized world.
The international Privacy Conference in Berlin, on 19 September 2017 will discuss these challenges along with more than 200 privacy experts from companies, academia and regulators.
CMS Germany will be sharing its expertise on the following subject at the Privacy Conference:
- Legitimate interest and compatible purpose vs. consent (14:00 - 14:40)
Michael Kamps, Lawyer, CMS Hasche Sigle
Max Grafenstein, Head of Research, A. von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society
