Following a referendum in June 2016 won by the Leave campaign, the UK formally ceased to be a member of the EU on 31 January 2020. EU legislation will cease to apply in the UK once the transition period ends on 31 December 2020. With the future relationship still under negotiation, what are the implications for the UK, the EU and the world? And what lies ahead?
