Stuttgart – ADS-TEC GmbH of Nürtingen has signed a cooperation agreement with Detmold-based Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co. KG in relation to remote maintenance solutions and cloud services. The cooperation centres on ADS-TEC’s cloud platform, Big-LinX®, which is well established in the market and used by Weidmüller as the base technology for its u-link remote maintenance solution. Secure remote maintenance is a key technology for the ongoing implementation of Industry 4.0. The partners have agreed to collaborate on all aspects related to operation and further development of the platform, thereby enabling broad access to this technology in the context of the Internet of Things. The start of cooperation is still subject to competition law approval from the Federal Cartel Office.
A CMS team headed by Client Relationship Partner Dr Björn Demuth advised ADS-TEC GmbH on all aspects related to signing the cooperation and licence agreement, and on implementation and coordination of the filings required under competition law.
